Day 4: Memory and Context That Stay Useful
Memory is not a transcript dump. Good memory is a small set of durable facts that reduce future coordination cost.
Keep
- Stable user preferences.
- Project conventions.
- Known environment facts.
- Repeated workflows.
- Decisions that should not be relitigated.
Do not keep
- One-off errors.
- Temporary debugging output.
- Secrets or credentials.
- Large logs.
- Facts that will quickly go stale.
A useful memory entry
For this project, use pnpm commands and avoid npm. HermesAgent101 content is bundled as local static data for the public site.
This is specific, durable, and directly useful in future sessions.
Your task
After a Hermes Agent session, ask it to propose memory candidates. Accept only the items that would still help in a month. Reject anything that is temporary, sensitive, or too vague.
